The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston has selected Chris Nassetta as the 2015 inductee to the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor and plans to celebrate the Hilton legacy and its impact on the hospitality industry during two days of events from October 20 to 21 of 2015. This honor recognizes the icons and leading companies from all segments of the hospitality industry that have made extraordinary contributions to not only the global business landscape, but the impacts they have made on society. The induction of Chris Nassetta will mark the fifth Hilton executive to be inducted into the Hall of Honor – Conrad N. Hilton, Barron Hilton, Eric Hilton and Steve Bollenbach are all previous inductees.
The event will include two days of panel discussions with hospitality leaders on Tuesday and Wednesday with a roundtable discussion with Chris Nassetta and students on Wednesday afternoon to support Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to youth and coinciding with Hilton’s Global Month of Service. The induction dinner and grand opening of a Hilton legacy exhibit will round out the events Wednesday evening. Proceeds from the events (exhibit opening and dinner) through direct contributions, underwritings, sponsorships, table purchases and ticket sales will support a newly established endowment at the College, tentatively named the “Enriching Lives Endowment.”
